遇到过很多词汇量很大的学生，在口语表达的时候一直在蹦单词；也碰到过很多人看美剧单词都认识，但误会了意思。提高口语地道表达，有时候真的是要小词大用，今天来分享一个单词叫for, 记住，单词要放在短语里面去记，短语要放在句子里面去记，句子要放在语境里面去记。
1. for ages 很多年,很久
I haven't seen you for ages. Where have you been?
我很多年没见你了。你去哪混了？

2. for breakfast/lunch/dinner 早餐/午餐/晚餐吃什么
What did you eat for dinner? 你晚饭吃了什么？
I made congee for breakfast. 我早餐做了粥。

3. for certain/ for sure 肯定
I know for sure that he's in love with you.
我敢肯定他爱上你了。
That's for sure. 那是肯定的。

4. for a change 改变一下,换换口味
We always go there. Let's try a different bar for a change.
咱们总是去那儿。这次咱们换个酒吧试试吧。
I want to eat rice for a change. 我想换换口味，吃吃米饭。

5. for ever / forever 永远
No one can live for ever. 没有人能够长生不老。

6. for example/ for instance 举例，比如说。
You could, for example, go to Spain. 
你可以，比如说，去西班牙啊。
Give me a for-instance. 给我举个例子。

7. for fear of... 害怕
I didn't tell you for fear of upsetting you.
我不告诉你是害怕你心烦。

8. for nothing 白白...
He didn't die for nothing. 他没有白白牺牲
I can't believe the store is closed. I came all the way for nothing.
商店居然关门了。我白来了一趟。
So I got beaten up for nothing? 
所以我白挨揍了一顿咯？
